Valerie Poh discovered her passion for skincare at just 11 years old after receiving her first facial—a moment that inspired a lifelong dedication to healthy, radiant skin. After moving to Canada in 1994, she experienced firsthand how climate affects skin health, sparking her determination to understand and heal through proper care and treatment.
In 2003, Valerie earned her Aesthetics Certification from The Alberta Academy and later became a certified Laser Technician through The European Institute in 2011. With over a decade of experience in a medical spa setting, she has also trained extensively with Gehwol in holistic pedicures and Osmosis Pur Medical Skincare for advanced sub-dermal rejuvenation techniques.
At Wellness on Whyte, Valerie blends science, skill, and holistic care to deliver customized facials and treatments that balance beauty with wellness. Believing that skin health reflects lifestyle and environment, she takes joy in helping clients look and feel beautiful—inside and out—through mindful, personalized care.
With over a decade of experience in the beauty and wellness industry and four years specializing in holistic esthetics, Rene views skincare as both an art and a science. A graduate of the European Institute of Esthetics (2020), she continues to expand her knowledge through advanced education and hands-on practice alongside industry leaders.
